Subscribe? Good to know!
- For minors starting in September, after the registration period in March, a draw takes place in April if there are at that time more subscribers than available places.
- For minors starting in February, after the registration period in October, a draw takes place in November if there are at that time more subscribers than available places.

For the minors with places still available applies until the closing of the subscription period: Once a minor is full, it is closed!

Learn about plant microbiology and immunology. How plants respond to various signals. How plants become resistant to antibodies. Histology continues to fascinate. From cell culture practicals to human biology and everything in between. You get it all, here.

Your classes and workshops take place Monday through Friday. And you learn in the classroom. the laboratory. And at workshops and seminars.

You start with the basics: research planning and reporting. Then move on to studying plants and microbiology. Histology and cell culture practicals. Finally, you tie together what you learn with immunology and human biology. Microbiology and plant biology.

Your final assignment is to plan and conduct a research project. You write a full report about it. And present your findings in a professional presentation.

  • Plant biology
  • Plant response to internal/external signals
  • Human biology
  • Microbiology
  • Immunology
  • Innate and acquired immune system
  • Infectious diseases and antibiotic resistance
  • Histology
  • Cell culture practicals

By the end of Interaction Between Human, Plant and Micro-organism you can:

  • analyze plant biology and microbiology
  • determine immunology and human biology
  • discover the biodiscovery chain
  • understand the interactions between:
    • plant biology and human biology
    • microbiology and immunology
  • write a clear research plan and report
  • collaborate in multidisciplinary teams

You strengthen these competence areas during the program:

  • Writing research reports
  • Presentation skills
  • Collaboration
  • Research planning

This minor is also a unit of education of the 2nd year Bachelor of Life Sciences degree program.

A propaedeutical certificate is required from a similar bachelor of science degree (e.g. Chemistry, Bioinformatics)

  • Performance testing
  • Knowledge testing
  • Class participation
